Field and context

The Angel gas field lies in production licence WA-3-L, approximately 115 kilometres north-west of Karratha in the Northern Carnarvon Basin’s Dampier Sub-basin. It is a substantial gas-condensate accumulation discovered during early North West Shelf exploration. Hydrocarbons occur in Late Jurassic marine sandstone reservoirs. Development uses platform-based wells and a remotely operated processing installation linked directly to the established North Rankin infrastructure.
