Field and context

ACE develops the central-eastern portion of the giant Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli field, about 120 kilometres offshore Azerbaijan in the South Caspian Basin. Reservoirs are Lower Pliocene Productive Series fluvio-deltaic sandstones, with the Pereriv B and D intervals forming major producing units. Platform producers and dedicated water- and gas-injection wells target remaining oil within the mature, compartmentalised Azeri accumulation.
