Field and context

Coral lies offshore Cabo Delgado Province in the deep-water Rovuma Basin. The giant gas accumulation is hosted by high-quality Lower-Eocene deep-marine sandstone reservoirs deposited as turbidite channels and basin-floor lobes. Coral South develops the southern reservoir area through six ultra-deep-water subsea wells connected directly to one FLNG facility, eliminating the need for a fixed processing platform or an export pipeline to shore.
