Field and context

The Goodwyn gas-condensate field lies on the Rankin Trend at the north-western edge of the Dampier Sub-basin, within the Northern Carnarvon Basin. Rich gas is trapped in fluvio-deltaic sandstone reservoirs of the Triassic Mungaroo Formation within a large rotated fault block, beneath a Cretaceous shale seal. The large field is developed through long-reach platform wells and surrounding subsea satellite tie-backs.
