Field and context

Kaombo Norte develops the Gengibre, Gindungo and Caril fields in the deep-water Lower Congo Basin. These accumulations form the northern hub of the six-field Kaombo development, spread across roughly 800 square kilometres in water depths of about 1,400–1,950 metres. The reservoirs are deep-marine clastic deposits influenced by the Congo Fan and regional salt tectonics, developed through subsea wells tied to one FPSO.
