Field and context

Corocoro lies in the southern Gulf of Paria offshore Venezuela, west of Trinidad. Discovered in 1999, appraisal drilling identified three separate oil-bearing intervals and an additional gas accumulation. The moderate-scale shallow-water development uses platform-drilled wells, a bridge-linked wellhead and central production facility, subsea pipelines and Nabarima as the permanent storage and marine-export installation.
