Field and context

The Zuidwal gas field is a conventional offshore gas reservoir in shallow waters of the Netherlands, discovered in 1970 and brought into production in 1988. It produces natural gas from conventional sandstone reservoirs beneath the Wadden Sea and was the only Dutch offshore field developed with a manned platform in this area. The field has matured and production ceased, transitioning toward decommissioning.
