Field and context

The K12 field is part of the larger K7-K12 gas fields in the Netherlands' Continental Shelf, producing conventional gas from Rotliegendes sandstones. The field lies offshore northwest of Den Helder in shallow water and has been developed through multiple fixed platforms and subsea completions since the early 1980s. Reservoirs are conventional high-calorific gas with some CO- content.
