Field and context

The Ormen Lange gas field in the Norwegian Sea is developed with seabed wells tied directly to Nyhamna via flowlines, producing dry gas without fixed offshore platforms. Reservoirs lie in deep Jurassic sandstones. Ormen Lange is one of the largest gas discoveries on the Norwegian shelf, feeding Nyhamna for conditioning and transport.
