Field and context

The Heimdal area, discovered in 1972, is a central North Sea gas province developed with integrated processing and export infrastructure. Heimdal produced gas and condensate and later acted as a hub accepting gas from fields such as Huldra, Skirne, Vale and Valemon for processing and export. Production ceased in 2020; gas handling persisted until 2023.
