Field and context

The Oseberg Øst field sits ~15-km east of the main Oseberg field in the Norwegian North Sea. It was discovered in 1981 with production starting in 1999. The reservoir comprises Middle Jurassic Brent Group sandstones with varied characteristics across fault blocks. Oil is routed via pipeline for further processing at the Oseberg complex and onward export via the Oseberg Transport System (OTS).
