Field and context

The Gannet field lies in Blocks 21/25, 21/30, 22/21 and 22/26a, roughly 180-km east of Aberdeen. Discovered in 1973, it produces oil and gas from Tertiary turbiditic sand reservoirs with an oil leg and overlying gas cap. Several satellite accumulations are developed by subsea tie-backs to the Gannet A host platform.
