Field and context

The Leman gas field lies in Blocks 49/26 and 49/27 of the Southern North Sea, discovered in 1966 with production commencing in 1968. The reservoir comprises Rotliegendes sandstone at ~6,000 ft depth with large gas volumes (~11 Tcf original gas in place). Development involved numerous platforms tied back to central complexes with export to Bacton.
